Diachronic driving lamps are designed to increase the lighted
area of vehicle high beams. Their broad beam pattern is especially
useful on dark back roads, dramatically increasing visibility
up and down hills around corners. Fifty-five watt Diachronic
Lamps, especially with Ion Crystal amber light, can be used
as general purpose lamps if aimed down to avoid offending oncoming
traffic. Eighty-five watt diachronic lamps are too bright for
oncoming traffic and should be dimmed with the high beams.
